Wind Point Light House

Tucked away in the scenic Village of Wind Point, Racine County, Wisconsin, the Wind Point Lighthouse is a must-see landmark full of history and charm! Towering at 108 feet, this stunning lighthouse has been guiding ships since it was first lit on November 15, 1880. Designed by Civil War Brigadier General Orlando Metcalfe Poe, it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it a truly remarkable piece of American history.

In 1997, the lighthouse and its picturesque park grounds were transferred to the Village of Wind Point. Today, the lighthouse caretakers live in the keeper's quarters and help maintain the grounds, which are open to the public year-round.

Don’t miss the chance to climb the lighthouse tower on select days and take in jaw-dropping views of Lake Michigan! The grounds are also available to rent for weddings, special events, and more, offering a perfect spot for unforgettable moments.

Whether you’re a history buff, nature lover, or looking for a unique venue, the Wind Point Lighthouse offers everyone something special!
