Care Facility Voting

Residential Care Facilities

Any voter residing in a residential care facility who requests an absentee ballot will have their ballot brought to the facility by a Special Voting Deputy (SVD). This process is known as SVD voting and serves as the means of absentee voting for residents of a residential care facility. Special Voting Deputies are election officials who are trained and deputized by the Village Clerk to perform the duties of SVD voting. The scheduled days and times of voting will be publicly noticed and posted at each facility. Mount Pleasant conducts absentee voting at the following residential care facilities:
