About
The Department of Public Works plays an important role in making Mount Pleasant a welcoming place to call home by managing Village infrastructure, natural resources, and public services, such as garbage and recycling collection. The department maintains Village-owned roads, ensures new public infrastructure meets the community’s standards, and contributes to the protection and restoration of natural areas such as the Pike River corridor. Its services also include clearing snow from Village streets, maintaining and improving storm and sanitary sewer infrastructure, and operating the free Compost Site.
