Property Management

The Property Management Department oversees the electronic documentation, storage, and transfer of all property and evidence secured by officers at the Mount Pleasant Police Department. This section includes civilian staff to reduce operating costs. The Police Record’s Lead manages the day-to-day property intake and release process and works closely with staff to maintain the secured property room. Seized property, found property, or evidence is eventually returned to the owner, kept indefinitely, or properly discarded. Some unclaimed property is auctioned.
