Tax Incremental District No. 2

Overview

This district stretches through the heart of the Village, including the Mount Pleasant Civic Campus, and supported public infrastructure that made development possible on vacant land and underused properties.

Over the years, TID No. 2 has supported construction of Campus Park, the Mount Pleasant Shopping Center at Highway 31 and Highway 11 where Mount Pleasant’s Village Hall was formerly located, new stores and industrial buildings north of Highway 20, and the Tivoli Green community along 90th Street. 

Creation and Closing

The TID was approved in September 2007 and, according to state statutes, can remain open until 2034, at the latest.
