Tax Incremental District No. 6

Overview

This district made new housing development possible on agricultural properties west of Highway 31. Projects include Fiduciary Real Estate’s Seasons at Mount Pleasant on the north side of the district near Braun Road, and the ongoing construction of a multi-phase mixed-use Pike River Crossing by Bear Real Estate Group. That project includes several new public streets and utilities such as an extension of Oakes Road. The district could also support future planning efforts for parkland in that area. 

Creation and Closing

The TID was approved in March 2021 and, according to state statutes, can remain open until 2042, at the latest.
