Responsibilities

The Mount Pleasant Board of Trustees is an elected board comprised of six Trustees and one President who serve two-year terms. In odd years, the Village elects the Village President and three trustees. In even years, the Village elects the other three trustees. These elected officials serve at large. The Village Board is the controlling body of the Village that sets the budget, names committees, and provides oversight to all parts of the Village of Mount Pleasant's operation.
